Keyword(s) Search - Your school may assign a keyword to a scholarship. This option allows you to search that keyword field.
Click any “Apply Now” button below to complete your scholarship application. If you already completed an application, clicking the “Apply Now” button will redirect your browser and enable you to review your previously submitted application.
NOTE: There is no need to apply for scholarships individually. Completing the Scholarship Application one time each year enables you to be considered for all scholarships available at Northwest Missouri State University.

Bohlken English Education Scholarship
Recipient shall be an incoming freshman enrolled full-time with a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 and shall have declared a major in English Education. Academic achievement and financial need shall be leading criteria.

Bruce Litte Memorial English Scholarship
Recipient shall be a full time student majoring in English and maintaining a 3.00 GPA. Academic achievement and financial need will be leading criteria.

Recipient must have declared a major in English or English education, have a 3.50 GPA, and show financial need.

David T Slater Excellence in English Award
Recipient shall be considered a full-time senior majoring in English. The recipient shall have the top GPA which is cumulative of all English major courses by the end of the fall trimerster before his/her graduation date.

Dr Marvin D Combs Memorial Scholarship
Available to first-time and continuing students who are graduates of high schools in Worth, Gentry, Harrison or Nodaway counties, who have declared a major in one of the disciplines housed in the College of Arts and Sciences and who are enrolled on a full-time basis at Northwest. This scholarship may be renewed by maintaining at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA.

Eddice B Barber Scholarship
Recipient shall be a full-time sophomore or higher and have declared a major in English. Academic achievement and financial need will be considered.

Frank Grube Scholarship
Recipient shall be enrolled full time and shall be one of the following: an English major or minor, a member of Blue Key Society, or a varsity tennis player. Recipient shall also have a GPA of at least 2.50.

Graduate English Fellowship
Recipients of this fellowship shall be graduate students pursuing a Master's of Arts in English or Master of Science in Education in Teaching English. First preference shall be given to a first year graduate student. If there is no suitable incoming student, the award may be given to a continuing graduate student.

Awarded to a sophomore, junior or senior language major or minor that is eligible to enroll in a Modern Languages class beyond the first-year level.

Recipient shall be of sophomore standing or higher and have declared a major in English. Recipient shall be in good academic standing and show high moral character.

Mary Bohlken Special Education: Cross Categorical & Elementary Education Scholarship
Recipient shall be an incoming freshman enrolled full-time with a minimum high school 3.0 GPA and shall have declared a major in Special Education: Cross Categorical and Elementary Education. Academic achievement and financial need shall be leading criteria.

Awarded to a junior or senior English major with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 and who has shown academic achievement.

Awarded to a language major with a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA. Consideration is based on academic standing and financial need. Preference will be given to students with a Spanish major.

Awarded to an English education major with at least sophomore standing and a minimum GPA of 3.00.

Virgil Albertini Scholarship
Recipient shall be a full-time continuing student with a declared major in English. The award will be received during the junior or senior year. Emphasis shall be placed on the student's interest in American literature and teacher education.
