ARAMARK Facility Services Scholarship
Recipient shall be considered a full time student, classified as at least a sophomore or have earned at least 27 semester hours of credit, and must have attended Northwest Missouri State University for at least one semester. The recipient must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 and have declared a major in one of the following areas: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, Computer Management Systems, Marketing, Psychology or Sociology. Students must complete the Occupational Goals Essay within the application. Preference shall be given to those students who are presently employed and have worked one year for Facility Services at Northwest. Financial need may be considered.
C & C Taylor Scholarship - Pi Omega Pi
Awarded to a senior Pi Omega Pi member, business education majors and graduate students pursuing a master's program in business education or instructional technology who are current or former Pi Omega Pi members. Scholarships are renewable.
The Cerner Corporation awards a scholarship to a junior or senior with a 3.00 GPA and a declared major within the School of Computer Science and Information Systems. Recipient shall also be a member of the ACM student organization and preference shall be given to those who have relevant part time work/internship experience in the field of computer technology.
Computer Science Academic Achievement Scholarship
Rising junior or senior computer science major that has made significant contributions to ACM, computer science or the computer science/information systems department.
Elswick-Hamm Business Education Scholarship
The Elswick-Hamm Business Education Scholarship is awarded to a prospective business education teacher. Preference is given to a post-baccalaureate candidate pursing alternative certification or certification. If there are no candidates meeting this criteria, the scholarship may be awarded to a senior undergraduate business major.
Gary & Merry McDonald Scholarship
Recipient shall be a full-time current or entering undergraduate student with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 with financial need as determined by the Selection Committee. Recipient shall have declared an undergraduate major in Computer Science, Interactive Digital Media with a Computer Science concentration, or Management Information Systems. Academic achievement and financial need shall be leading criteria.
IDM Internship Scholarship
Recipient shall be a junior or senior enrolled full-time with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Recipient shall have declared a major in any are of Interactive Digital Media (IDM) (ie Computer Science, Graphic Design or New Media).
First preference may be given to those selected to complete an internship with Northwest's Learning & Teaching Center.
Financial need may be considered.
Janet S Gayler Memorial Scholarship
Recipient shall be classified as an entering freshman or sophomore and shall be considered a full-time student. Recipient shall have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and be a female with a declared academic major in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Interactive Digital Media with a Computer Science concentration. If a female student does not meet the above requirements, then the scholarship can be awarded to a male student. Academic achievement and financial need will be leading criteria.
Jean Jennings Bartik Women in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math Scholarship
Awarded to a female declaring a major in the Computer Science and Information Systems, Mathematics, or Science. Recipient shall maintain a minimum GPA of 2.75 and financial need will be leading criteria.
Ken & Jeanette Scribner Family Scholarship
Recipient shall be classified as a first-generation, full-time student. Recipient shall be a sophomore, junior or senior with a 3.0 GPA and have a declared major in a technology related field. Priorities given to financial need and demonstrated community service/volunteerism.
Mahankali Vanaja Devi Scholarship
Recipient shall be classified as a graduate student enrolling in their second semester of the Masters of Science in Applied Computer Science program. The following essay shall be answered:
If you had all the resources available at your disposal (both time and money), what problem in the world (excluding charity or philanthropy) would you solve? Describe the need and the solution.
Academic achievement and financial need shall be leading criteria.
Monica G Zirfas Scholarship
Recipients shall have declared a major of Business Technology and shall maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. All other factors being equal, financial need may be the determining factor in the selection process. Preference will be given to a junior or senior, however all student classifications will qualify.
Straub Family Foundation Scholarship
Recipient shall be a full-time sophomore, junior or senior majoring in a computer science or technology-related field and shall maintain an overall GPA between 3.0 and 3.8. Preference shall be given to students who are involved in a University-sanctioned organization including Greek organizations recognized by the University.
Women in Computing Scholarship
The scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate female majoring in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science & Informatics - Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Interactive Digital Media - Computer Science. The recipient shall have made significant contributions to ACM-W and/or the School of Computer Science and Information Systems and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. Academic achievement and financial need shall be leading criteria.
