	R Lucile & Vesper L Shelby The R Lucile & Vesper L Shelby Music Scholarship was established with a contribution received by Vesper L. Shelby of Bethany and Maryville in December, 1978, as a memorial to his first wife, a music major at Northwest in the 1920’s. Upon Mr. Shelby’s death in March, 1979, his widow, Irene Lowrey Wright Shelby, requested that the fund name be changed to include Mr. Shelby’s name.
